7th international Conference on Quantum Dots (QD 2012)
May 13-18th, 2012
Santa Fe Convention Center, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA
General information
The International Conference on Quantum Dots provides a forum for scientists from different research fields including physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering to discuss the science and applications of quantum dots. The conferences are held biannually in Europe, Asia, or North America, and are the primary international forum in this field. Previous meetings took place in Munich (Germany, 2000), Tokyo (Japan, 2002), Banff (Canada, 2004), Chamonix-Mont Blanc (France, 2006), Gyeongju (South Korea, 2008), and Nottingham (United Kingdom, 2010). As in previous years, a principal goal of the conference is to bring together researchers from different quantum dot communities (epitaxial quantum dots, colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals, and electrostatically defined quantum dots) in order to stimulate progress in this field by combining the expertise developed in each sub-field.

Weather in Santa Fe should be nice with highs near 80 F (28 C) and lows near 50 F (12 C). Don’t forget that Santa Fe is at a relatively high altitude ( 7,000 ft; 2100 m ). So, be sure to drink plenty of water and use sun screen.
The Albuquerque International Sunport, the principal airport in New Mexico is 60 miles / 100 km from Santa Fe. Transportation options are described at https://qd2012.newmexicoconsortium.org/details/getting-to-santa-fe-from-albuquerque
